Robby Hill

Robby Hill was born in Florence, South Carolina and raised in Sardis, South Carolina. He graduating from West Florence High School in 2001 where he worked for organizations such as Florence School District 1 and Florence-Darlington Technical College on technology projects and computing services. While in the 7th grade he worked for a local Fortune 500 company - Sonoco where he developed Intranet software even before he obtained his driver's license.

It is through this experience that while Hill still attended high school, he created Hill South, an information technology consulting firm that has grown tremendously year after year to become a dominant player in the region's market for quality technology solutions to companies and non-profit organizations across South Carolina. HillSouth is now trusted to provide information technology consulting in industries such as financial services, major utilities, legal, accounting and government and has grown in these industries year after year despite major economic recessions. This growth in the results of the perseverance of Robby Hill and his full-time staff of 21 employees.

Robby has served on numerous boards and commissions. including the Florence Rotary Club, Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce, Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross, Florence Regional Arts Alliance, ScienceSouth, Inc.m Young Professionals of Florence, Pee Dee Workforce Investment Board and the US Chamber of Commerce - Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Council.

His honors include Humanitarian of the Year and Small Business Person of the Year from the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce, Young Entrepreneur of the Year for SOuth Carolina and Region IV from the United States Small Business Administration, Palmetto Workforce Partnership Award Winner from the South Carolina Department of Commerce and most recently in 2011, Robby Hill was honored at the White House in November for being on the Empact100 list - Top 100 Young Entrepreneurs in the USA.
