Director of Events
About Position:
The Director of Events is responsible for ensuring the implementation of each virtual and physical event with outstanding quality, customer service and exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
Some responsibilities of the job, which may change from time-to-time, include:- Planning upcoming events, keynotes, and conferences by keeping records, booking travel, and developing information packages for distribution to key people related to events
- Serving as a point person for hosts to contact about their upcoming event; Supporting hosts in the logistics and marketing for their event
- Welcoming and coordinating speakers for events
- Briefing EET staff about the specifics of upcoming events and being a point person to them while they are on travel (including travel outside of your normal work hours)
- Preparing and sending close out information and data to staff, hosts and speakers following an event
- Ocassional traveling to events to serve as a tour manager and EET representative
- Maintaining inventory and tracking event materials; Ordering new inventory when required
- Upselling existing clients on other products and services offered by EET
- Conducting logistical preparations for virtual keynotes, including sharing and receiving details about the keynote with the host, sending information packages to speakers, and making sure that the virtual keynotes run smoothly
Schedule:
40-60 hour per week. Busy seasons are February–May & August–November. Due to the increased working hours during busy season, flexible increased vacation times are offered during our “off” season.
Location:
Offices are located across the country. We are currently hiring for the Director of Events through our Washington, DC office. However, a virtual position can be discussed.

Education Outreach Associate
Responsibilities:
- Creating, developing and closing leads for colleges and universities.
- Tracking leads with leads via salesforce.com.
- Attending weekly sales meetings.
- Achieving quarterly sales quota.
- Make 25-50 outbound sales calls per day.
Compensation:
Commission-only. Working full-time, candidates can expect 1st year income of over $50k. We cover all phone expenses for individuals who work more than 25 hours per week. More details can be shared prior to the first interview.
Location:
Work from home. No travel is required as all sales are done over the phone.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least one year of sales experience with a strong track record or a strong interest in sales

Tour Manager & Assistant Tour Manager
Type:Independent contractor
Responsibilities:
- Meet and coordinate speakers, staff, and school logistics while on the road
- Manage the setup, admin, and breakdown process for each event
- Setup and man the registration table
- Stuff event goodie bags with the team
- Pack and unpack materials with the team
- Keep materials organized on the bus
- Run errands related to events (making sure we have enough materials)
- Print out panel placards, event schedule, and attendee list prior to the event
- Report on inventory
- Write thank you notes for keynote speakers and event host(s) during the event
- Drive 31’ foot tour bus (no special license required)
- Take, organize, and upload event photos
- Collect, digitize, and send out event video
- Prepare Event Folder (Attendee RSVP List, MC Notes, EET Permission of Use Form, Panel Instructions, Order Forms, Event Schedule, Staff Information Package)
- Collect names / contact info for any reporters present and follow up with them immediately after event with pictures
- Man the product table and collect money and credit card forms for books purchased
- Update workshop presentation first page with the school logo; and make sure that this and keynote presentations are on USB
- Write a blog entry for each event
- Scan and upload event registration and evaluation forms

Responsibilities:
- Introducing and closing each event
- Facilitating the workshop

- Helping to setup and pack up each event.
