4 Amazing Events in 36 Hours!

Early in October, we presented four events in Mansfield, Ohio. In less than 36 hours, we were able to inspire college students, high school students, small businesses owners, and community leaders.

  • The first event was open to the public. Several educators and influential leaders attended this event to learn how to implement entrepreneurship in their schools and communities. The program focused on informing the public about the importance of entrepreneurship.
  • Our audience for the second program consisted primarily of college students from across Mansfield. Most of the students were familiar with entrepreneurship but needed guidance on how to actually take what they learn in the classroom and implement it into the real world. Co-founder and America’s Top Young Speaker, Areal Moodie, provided simple steps and stories that helped students become more confident in pursuing their dreams as entrepreneurs.
  • The third event was exclusive for Mansfield High School upperclassmen. We really enjoyed this event because the students were upbeat and participated at a high level. We also had a dance contest and a lot of cool prizes. They left with a paradigm shift, understanding that entrepreneurship is a great and realistic way to have a fulfilling life.
  • The final event was a four-hour workshop and panel, which included local entrepreneurs as well as two of Ohio’s top entrepreneurs under the age of 30. The two tour speakers were Jason Ross, founder of JackThreads.com, and serial entrepreneur Rob Nicholson. The audience was able to ask in-depth questions and receive practical information.

Through this great opportunity of having four programs in less than two days, we learned that our programs are helpful for any audience that is interested in entrepreneurship and business.

Also, when you work with the Tour, you never really know what great things to expect. During our final event, North Central State College and the Tour were able to organize a FLASH MOB. A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, and perform an unusual and pointless act for a brief time. The flash mob was conducted by a group of dancers who specialized in Latin music. Let’s just say that the audience did not only learn time-tested and proven strategies to succeed in entrepreneurship, but also how to shake their hips!

EET Brings Some Serious Energy to PG County 10/23/2010

Can you feel the energy?

The question fired out from the crowd. “So what was the best piece of advice you ever recieved? ”

Be mindful of your “aura” , the energy you give off, replied tour speaker Rodney Walker,21.

“Successful people connect to positive energy, how you carry yourself and how you make them feel.”

That message connected with the youth in a big way at PG county so we at EET team wanted to highlight the pics that

captured that brought that energy. The following pics are courtesy of the Photographer Ian Wagreich of the National Chamber Foundation who brought some serious energy.

Booyah! Here’s some more aura-approved energy for you.

Can you feel the energy?

EET Unveils The Hi-Five Cam At St. Petersburg College 10/8/2010

Inspiration happens in bursts.

So does the Hi-Five Cam.

During registration at the St. Petersburg event, an accidental snapshot revealed a glimpse into a way of life.

“Can I get down with the Hi-Five Cam” , asked founder Michael Simmons after witnessing the “cool factor”

So what is the Hi-Five Cam?

It’s about capturing a perspective of life that empowers rather than disheartens.

Seeing life from the Hi-Five Lens means believing that there are more people out there to help you rise and realize your dreams (elevators), then those who would suck the air out of your dreams (vampires)

Seeing life through the lens of the Hi-Five Lens means

challenges become opportunities,

faliures become stepping stones,

and roadblocks become simply guideposts to success.

Tour Speaker Max Durovic embodied the Hi-Five Lens to survive his first big scare. As a budding college entrepreneur who employed his best friend he managed the unthinkable. When biggest customer couldn’t pay his company for 2 months, a payroll nightmare, and he found himself unable to pay his best friend, and unable to sleep at night.

Rather than pout, he sold his car, found a way to make payroll and that customer ended up sustaining the company for the next two years.

Duane Spires, CEO of extreme sports, challenged the audience to confront their childhood fears and by using the Hi-Five Cam,

helped them to seperate those events from the damaging stories they produced.

Next time you feel down, ask yourself how do you see the world? Then go out give someone a hi-five and tell them ”your awesome.”

if you are still feelign down , ask a EET team member at our upcoming tour events to be part of the Hi-Five Cam, let go, and feel the love!
