Leigh High Carbon Community College
(or ‘L tri-C’ as the cool kids call it…)
On March 31, EET went back to Tamaqua Pennsylvania to visit our old friends at LCC. Richard Warner and Bruce Kemmerer, who are no strangers to the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour, greeted us. Having hosted the Tour previously, the folks at LCCC’s Business Enterprise Center were happy to show another group of students what the tour had to offer.
Co-Moderators Ej Carrion and Arel Moodie kicked off the event. Miles Munz of InterviewStream shared his secrets of success to a mix of Tamaqua High School and LCCC students, who learned some of the major do’s and don’ts of the interview process. Gregory Galant of Sawhorse Media stopped by to talk about innovative marketing strategies on platforms such as Twitter and Youtube. Both gentlemen were recognized by Businessweek as two of the top young entrepreneurs of our time. Francois Bessing and Dorothy Young brought a little local flavor to the panel by explaining how they hoped to boost the area’s economy by opening small businesses.
Following the event, the folks at LCCC hosted an intimate reception in the newly renovated Scheller Student Business Center, fully equipped with a DJ! You better believe when music plays, the EET team dances…
Nothing yet.
