Sumaya Kazi
Sumaya Kazi, 27, is an internationally recognized innovator, leader, and award-winning entrepreneur. She serves as the CEO and Editor-in-Chief at TheCulturalConnect.com and YOPROCO.com, online media publishing companies dedicated to young professionals around the world. For her passion and success around her endeavors, Sumaya has been recognized by BusinessWeek as one of America's "Best Young Entrepreneurs," CNN as a "Young Person Who Rocks," Silicon Valley Business Journal as a "Woman of Influence" and by ColorLines Magazine as an "Innovator to Watch."
In her spare time, Sumaya works full-time as Senior Social Media Manager for the Global Communications group at Sun Microsystems. Additionally, she serves as a high school entrepreneur mentor for BUILD.org, a social venture that empowers under-resourced students to excel in education and succeed professionally. Sumaya graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in marketing and strategic planning.
