Christie and Nancy Rosales

For the past 5 years these two sisters Christie and Nancy Rosales have been sharing the traditions with latin gourmet desserts in order to keep traditions alive. For generations family recipes have been passed down and finally these recipes can be shared.

In 2007 The puddle of the frogs Ice cream shop was opened with mascot pepito in South San Francisco and catering business www.pepitosicecream.com. After a good run before the economy started to belly up they decided to close the store front and continue the catering business due to the loyal followers from the shop.

Christie and Nancy love spending time in the kitchen exploring old recipes with new ones. The new ideas made them venture into a second ice cream line. They launched in 2009 with an idea, unique traditional adult latin flavors. This uniqueness makes Neveria Abel 1950 the only latin gourmet ice cream line in the market. Neveria Abel 1950 is now available in Bay Area wholefoods and Draegers supermarkets and expanding. Gourmet flavors include Mexican Agave Cream Tequila Ice cream, Mexican hot chocolate, Caramelized Sweet Corn, Super premium Mango sorbet 100% mango with agave honey and many more.

Christie Rosales is still a student at CCSF studying project management and event planning. Christie background is in sales, team management for pepito's ice cream shop, promo coordinator for local companies, and now managing the expansion and promotions for Neveria Abel 1950.

Nancy Rosales has had a few ventures under her belt but Neveria Abel 1950 is the venture she really enjoys by putting latin recipes that will make you feel as if you where at abuelitas house. Nancy has a B.A in Broadcast journalism and minor in marketing. Her passion for sharing is now driving her to make sure theres a little bit of all natural latin homemade ice cream in the supermarket aisles.
