Eric Corl
Eric Corl (23) joined a startup as a third person and helped grow it from a $0 to a $6MM valuation in a year and a half as a college freshman.
Eric started IdeaBuyer.com in September of 2007. IdeaBuyer.com is an online marketplace for intellectual property. The goal of the company is to aggregate all of the stagnant intellectual property in the United States among Universities, Corporations, and indpendent inventors, and make it available to entrepreneurs, investors, and retailers through licensing or purchase agreements.
The site immediately took off as a resource for inventors looking for partners in getting their products to market as well. Idea Buyer now holds equity stakes in several intellectual property based businesses. The company has so far been credited with over 30 licensing and purchase agreements and is projecting over 1000 by 2009.
