Alan Blake

At age 21, Alan Blake founded a dot com that ultimately raised $4 million and employed 50 people. Although the company closed its doors during the bursting of Internet bubble in 2001, Alan’s entrepreneurial spirit was undaunted. By late 2001, he co-founded a company whose mission was to market the first commercially available biotech animal in the world: a glow-in-the-dark pet fish. GloFish” hit the market in a tidal wave of international publicity in 2003 generating over 500,000,000 media impressions. They are now available across the US, including in Wal-Mart and PETCO, and Alan continues to manage the company’s daily operations as its CEO.
