NFTE Alum Writes "Entrepreneurial Mindset" Book
Spring 2003 - Michael Simmons, a NFTE alumnus and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002 and a junior at the Stern School of Business at New York University, has written a book titled The Student Success Manifesto.
Michael designed his text to inspire students to use the entrepreneurial way of thinking. Says Michael, "I learned so much from starting a company and doing research that I felt like I had to share what I had learned. So many students just follow the norm. I wanted to show them how they could blaze their own path."
Michael co-founded a web development company in high school that in 2000 was rated the Number 1 computer graphics company in the country by YoungBiz Magazine. In addition to winning NFTE's highest student honor, Michael has also received a Fleet Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award for New York City and was recently awarded a $5,000 scholarship by the Ford Motor Company.
